Ayanur

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This policy explains what the app Quran Widget: Ayanur ("Ayanur", "we", "us") collects, how, what for, and who processes it. Ayanur is built to collect as little as possible: there is no account, no server of our own, no advertising and no tracking.

In short

  • There is no account and no sign-up. The app never asks for your name, email address, location or contacts.
  • Your settings stay on your device. The ayahs and translations are built into the app, so no internet is needed to show them.
  • An analytics service sees which screens are opened and which options are picked, as event names and coarse properties only. Your advertising identifier is never read and you are not tracked.
  • Purchases are made through Apple. We never see your payment details.

1. What we collect and how

Your settings, on your device only

Your translation language, whether the Arabic is shown, the widget style, the text size, how often the ayah changes and the app language are saved only on your device, in a storage area that the app and its widget share on your iPhone or iPad (an App Group). The widget reads them there. We have no server that receives them.

Ayahs and translations

The Arabic text, the translations and the list of ayahs are built into the app. The app and the widget pick the ayah on your device and need no internet to do so. No request is made to fetch an ayah.

Product analytics

We use a product analytics provider (United States data region) to understand how the app is used. The app sends only event names and coarse properties, for example which screen was opened, which widget style, translation language or change frequency was picked, whether a subscription screen was shown and whether a purchase was started, completed or cancelled, and whether you are on the free or the Pro plan. Your answer to "Where did you hear about us?" (App Store, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or Other) is sent the same way. Events are filed under a random analytics ID that the provider's software creates on your device; it is not tied to your name, email address or Apple Account. The provider also receives basic device information such as device model, operating system version, app version and language. Events never contain ayah text or anything you type. The analytics service is set not to use your IP address to estimate your location.

Subscription status

Purchases are made through Apple. A subscription management provider receives your subscription status and purchase history from Apple together with a random anonymous user ID that it creates on your device, so the app can tell whether Pro is active. The app also saves your Pro status and its end date in the shared storage area, so the widget can show Pro features. We never see your payment details.

Support messages

If you use the form on our support page, the name (optional), email address, topic and message you enter are forwarded to us by a support form delivery service so that we can reply.

What we do not collect

The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or microphone. It does not use location services. It has no ads, does not read the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so it never shows Apple's tracking permission prompt.

2. How we use the data

  • To show the ayah of the moment on your widget and in the app, with your settings, on your device.
  • To check your subscription and unlock Pro features.
  • To understand and improve the app through usage analytics.
  • To answer your support requests.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or share it with data brokers.

5. Deleting your data and your rights

Removing Ayanur from your device deletes everything the app stored there, including your settings and the shared storage area of the widget.

To have analytics data deleted, send us a request through the support form. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription: open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To make a request, use our support form. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Our service providers are based mainly in the United States, and data is processed there and possibly in other countries where they operate. These countries may have different data protection laws from yours. We rely on the providers' contractual safeguards for these transfers.
